Iresine like bright direct light - and need it to maintain its coloring. Place in a south facing window - you'll know your plant needs more light if it becomes leggy and the coloring starts to fade. They appreciate a little extra humidity and should be watered when the top inch of soil is dry. You can water a little less in the fall and winter, but you should never let them dry out completely. To create a fuller, more pushy plant, prune up to half the leaves back to encourage new growth.
