Calathea Maui Queen
Calathea Maui Queen are a new-to-AT calathea variety defined by their dark green leaves spotted with soft cream brush strokes along their inner vein and purple undersides.
Like most calathea, Maui Queens thrive in bright, indirect light. Allow the top 2-3" of soil to dry in between waterings. Calatheas love (and usually need) lots of humidity to thrive, so we strongly recommend a pebble tray underneath or placing a small humidifier next to your plant.
Calatheas can be extra sensitive to the chemicals found in tap water, which can burn the leaves. We recommend using distilled, rain or filtered water, or allow your tap water to sit out overnight before watering.
