Sunday Sept. 30th 1pm
Before synthetic dyes were created in the 1800s, color was strictly obtained from nature, using plants and insects.
Join us in the shop for a “Yarn Tasting”, hosted by Garden Wool & Dye Company out of Elk Point, South Dakota. Crafty knitters, crocheters, and weavers can come together and receive what we call “mini skeins” of yarn and test out how the naturally dyed materials measure up against synthetics (accompanied by drinks and snacks, of course).
Attendees should have a basic grasp of knitting/crochet and bring their own US size 9 needles. Yarn + Knit Planter Cover pattern included (Crochet option available).
