Devil's Backbone (Pedilanthus tithymaloides)

$15.00

A very cool plant with a wicked name, the Devil's Backbone is named because of its zig zag stem and beautiful foliage. The leaves are variegated in light green, white and even pink and can grow very large. Provide direct light in the fall and winter, and bright indirect light in the spring and summer. Let the soil dry almost completely before watering. Fertilize once a month in the spring and summer. These guys like to be rootbound, so wait a few years before sizing up their pot.

Devil's Backbone is poisonous to animals and its white sap may irritate human skin, so be careful when handling.
